Top News and Magazines Apps in Norway Q2 2022 Performance

The second quarter of 2022 saw a dynamic performance among the top news and magazines apps in Norway, as per Sensor Tower data. Here’s a closer look at the trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for Dagbladet, VG, NRK, TV 2, and Se og Hør.

Dagbladet experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, culminating at around $16.8K in the last week of June. Downloads fluctuated slightly but showed a notable increase in mid-June, reaching approximately 2.1K. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 9.6K to 9.7K.

VG saw a strong performance in terms of revenue, peaking at about $80K in mid-April. Downloads varied throughout the quarter, with a high of 1.8K in late June. Active users showed a healthy range, peaking at 138K in early April before settling around 131K by the end of June.

NRK did not report any revenue for the quarter. Downloads were consistent, with a peak of 1.4K in the last week of June. Active users fluctuated slightly, with numbers ranging from 9.8K to 11.2K, ending the quarter at 10.2K.

TV 2 also reported no revenue. Downloads saw a slight decline, with a high of 1K in late March dropping to 825 by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging between 1.3K and 1.5K throughout the quarter.

Se og Hør did not generate any revenue during Q2 2022. The app's downloads were steady, peaking at around 799 in mid-June. Unfortunately, data on active users was not provided.
